Mikołaj Gołembiowski is Ph.D. student at Philosophy and Sociology Faculty at the Warsaw University. His theoretical interests are metaethics and the free will problem.

As son of Ludmiła and Sławomir Gołembiowski, artists which have had their own atelier, Mikołaj used to be in common with fine arts. But he has been doing his own works since 2006. The picture series The Game, The Lynch-like Story and The Legend are the result of his experiments with digital photography.

The author claims to be inspired by movies, especially those directed by David Lynch. Therefore his photos are full of references to the "Twin Peaks" series, "Lost Highway" or "Eraserhead".

Unlike many of professional photographers which put special emphasis on the pure estethical, formal side of the artwork, the author concentrates on the essence and maintains that the most interesting thing in artistic photography is its symbolic dimension. All of the pictures was taken in natural places in the light of desktop- and roof-lamps, using an amateur (or "half-professional") photo camera: Fuji FinePix s3500 and they were little improved using a popular graphics editor.
